A parking voice that knows when to stay quiet
Coordn8 Voice Mode speaks only when it helps you finish a parking decision: short updates while you drive, then quiet. Spoken yes-or-no answers are coming next.
Listen to the episode: The Voice That Knows When to Stay Quiet on The Alternate Side, Coordn8's podcast on Spotify. Hosted by Coordn8's AI voices, Nina and Marcus.
Most driving apps talk too much. Voice Mode is built around one rule: speak only when it helps you finish a parking decision. Everything below follows from that.
While you drive, it informs. It never asks.
On the way to where you're going, Voice Mode gives at most a short update, like letting you know it's checking parking near your destination. It doesn't ask you questions while the car may be moving, and a red light doesn't count as stopped.
When you park, it tells you what the screen would show
Once you've parked, Voice Mode can read out what the app found, so you don't have to look. Members also get the hydrant check, which tells you if you might be too close. The voice never says more than the screen: if the app says something "might be" too close, so does the voice.
Coming next: one question, and only on foot
We're building the next step now. Once you've stepped out of the car, Voice Mode will be able to ask one thing, such as whether to save where you parked. You'll answer "Yes" or "Not now", or just tap. If it doesn't understand you clearly, nothing happens, and it won't ask twice. It will never ask a question while you're driving.
It stays out of the way
- Turn directions always come first. Parking updates wait or drop.
- It's off until you turn it on.
- It respects your silent switch and Driving Focus.
- It never speaks for promotions or ads.
- Voice Mode is free. It isn't part of the membership.
Hands-free means you don't have to look at or touch your phone at these moments. It doesn't replace your attention on the road. Always follow the law and read the posted sign.
